Logan County Sports Hall of Fame

The Logan County "Sports Hall of Fame" located at The Information Station at 1555 Fifth Street in Lincoln, is a work in progress that features past and present sports legends that have lived in Logan County, including the LA Lakers’ Brian Cook. 

We are seeking any and all donations/loans of your own Logan County sports memorabilia that we may use for display in our Logan County Sports Hall of Fame.

Local Sports Heros:

Norman Cook:  Born in Chicago, IL in 1955, he graduated from Lincoln Community High School.  Norman played basketball for the University of Kansas before he was drafted in 1976 to the Boston Celtics.  Norman is the father of Brian Cook, Lakers player.

Brian Cook:  Born in Lincoln, IL in 1980, graduated from Lincoln Community High School.  After high school, Brian went on to play
basketball at the University of Illinois and was drafted in 2003 by the Lakers. 

Kevin Seitzer:  Born in Sprigfield, IL in 1962, he graduated from Lincoln Community High School.  Kevin is a former third baseman with the Kansas City Royals, Milwaukee Brewers, Oakland Athletics, and Cleveland Indians. 

Andy King:  Andy graduated from Lincoln Community High School before attending Illinois State University and playing football for the Redbirds.  He began playing in the NFL in 2002.

Tony Semple:  Born in 1970, Tony graduated from Lincoln Community High School.  He went on to play football for a college in Memphis, TN before joining the NFL with the Detroit Lions.
